The Study Of Standard Chinese Character Of Chinese Mainland And Taiwan

Chinese mainland and Taiwan share the same origin, but due to historical and political reasons, the two sides have not achieved political unity, which stopped the channel for linguistic communication, resulting in some regional language differences, among which the most obvious one is different characters expressing the same meaning, i.e. not standard characters.In this article, we believe that "standard characters" should include: (1)word amount; (2)character style; (3)word order; (4)word tone; (5)word shape; (6)the meaning of the words or phrases and other aspects. In addition, standard "characters" in "standard characters", means the symbolic system of the way of writing Chinese, and not merely Chinese characters. Actually, the phonetics, numbers, punctuation marks and writing forms, etc. all belong to the symbolic system of Chinese writing as well, and also have the problem of "standard characters".By using comparison and calculation, this article researches on systematic collections on the character polity of "standard characters" mentioned above between the two sides, and collects the variance in "standard characters" between the two sides on the whole. Moreover, a thorough study of word forms and meanings of phrases have been made.We have drawn a conclusion that "standard characters" of the two sides are the precondition of the realization of "standard characters" not only inside China but also in the whole Chinese character cultural circle. The relation between the different factors concluded in "standard characters" is very tight and so the way of solving a certain problem is correlated with other problems. Therefore, "standard characters" between the two sides should conclude every aspect and at the same time have a special requirement on the standardization of word forms. The unification of word forms is the basis of "standard characters" between the two sides. We know that the formation of characters between the two sides can not be reached over one night, and we allow some differences at the beginning phrase. With the process of collection, it will be gradually adjusted and perfected. For example, the printing characters and form of computer characters can be unified at first, and the writing form can be kept at present in order to respect the habit of the people between the two sides. When choosing the formulated form of "standard characters", a principle of the respect for fact and consultation together should be followed to avoid simplification. Both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan should be broadminded and learn from others.
