| The Zen texts came into being in the Tang dynasty and present a splendid sight during the Song dynasty. It was a very important tongue literature of the Tang-Song Time. Because of the amount and high level of quotation it was considered as the authentic record of oral speech, grammar and vocabulary during that time. Zutangji was finished in Baoda 10~th Year of South-Tang dynasty. JingdeChuandenglu was written by SengDaoyuan in Jingde 1st Year of Song dynasty. The time between these books' finished time was 52 years but there was much similarity in comments and examples. Both were the primogenitor of literature about transmission of lamp. Mr. LvShuxiang considered that Zen texts and custom literature of DunHuang were the beginning of latter-day Chinese. So the Zen texts are considered as the important material of researching latter-day Chinese after the 1980s', thus Zutangji and JingdeChuandenglu have gotten more and more scholars' attentions.There was no concept of termination in ancient Chinese. Commonly, it was used with empty words and was called auxiliary word, diction or empty letter, etc. In the research of ancient Chinese, the concept of auxiliary word, termination and affix was promiscuous. This text firstly defines the termination, that is to say termination is the last syllable in a word, but it hasn't practice meaning or the meaning has been weakened. During the Wei-Jin times and Five-dynasty times the degree of Chinese words compounded got faster and faster. So that the coming of termination was the certain result of disyllabic And termination played a very import part during words compounded. More and more words derived from the word-building mod of "etyma termination". We can find many examples in these two books. Based on the upper, the writer chooses twelve termination in Zutangji and JingdeChuandenglu to analyze here.Noun postfix "tou" , "zi" , "er", appeared as the qualification of the composition of the complex word at first, but has lost the meaning of vocabularies gradually in the course of historical development, thus lowered to the auxiliary additional composition by the composition of the reciprocity position.
