The women of Ye's Family specialized in literature for more than ten eras, who transferred the vitality and nutrient of the family steadily and grew gradually. The study on the women's literature of this family can show not only how the culture came down and developed from one generation to another, but also how weighty and significant it is on the scale of sexism. This dissertation is focused on the women's literature of this family and composed of five parts.In the introduction, the scale of this writing public is accounted for in brief.The first part probes into the reason why so many authoress came forth and discusses from the age and the family respectively. The age provides the environment for these women. The control of mentality before the middle age of the Ming dynasty and the impact of trend of thought lead to the different scenes of the women's literature. The family is the soil in which these women developed. The edifying force and the encouragement from the family make it possible for them to learn writing.The second part mainly discusses the literature of the women in the former Midday Dream Hall. The poems and ci-poems of Shen Yixiu , Ye Wanwan, Ye Xiaowan and Ye Xiaoluan are discussed respectively, and finally the characteristies of their literature are summarized, that is, elegancy, melancholy and the aispiration for fairyland.The third part mainly discusses the literature of the women in the latter Midday Dream Hall. The literature of Ye Xiaofan, Shen Xianying and Yan Xiuqin are remarked on, and finally the characteristics of their literatureare summarized, that is, the absorption of the plaint about the family and the country.The four part mainly discusses the literature of Wu Wenhua and Shen Shurong. At first, we introduce the content and style of their literature, compare themwith the women of Midday Dream Hall and then we will find their new scene, that is, the absorption of the elegance and the agony, the absorption of the plaint of the family and the country and the start of the plain style.The five part dissertates the center of Ye Qionghua' s poems, who took pride in the literate tradition of her family's women. But her poems are far more different from the features of predecessor.Conclusion: To sum up the literature of the Ye's family in Wu Jiang. The literature had been changed greatly from Shen Yinxiu on because of the adjustment and selection of the women later. On one hand, the literature after her.kept the mark of the tradition, which indicated the influence of the tradition.
