A Study On Yuan Zhong Dao's Prose

Yuan Zhong Dao is sent the top-notch player whose literature improved in " Wan Li " in the Ming Dynasty . No matter the achievement on the literature theory, or the achievement on the creation of literature, he is concealed by elder brother Yuan Hong Dao. Yuan ZhongDao's literary creation is ignored unnecessarily even more. However, his essay is the important literature achievement of later period of Ming Dynasty. I want to carry on overall combing to Yuan Zhong's proses and then probe into thought content of his prose, artistic characteristics. I want to expose the reason why Yuan' proses innovations succeeded , so as to get a deep feeling on the literary activities of the late Ming Dynasty.Yuan ZhongDao's literary creation is influenced by two respects bigger. First, his individual experience. Yuan ZhongDao rushes about in the way of imperial examinations throughout the year , enters the officialdom just now until 47 years old. This time reaches his death, have only seven years. He has gone through the dying of too many relatives again, this has caused his transformation to Buddhism of religion thought too. Second, Yuan ZhongDao's thought change. Like a lot of intellectuals of later period of Ming Dynasty, Yuan ZhongDao believed the Confucian. However frustration and the whole social atmosphere caused the promotion Buddhism of his thought in life, and then become and sincerely believe in " the pure land one ". Because of causes the above, we read Yuan's talent work vertically and horizontally in extant mostly more personnel thought with the prose of the humane makings , such as his travel notes, the biography, or diary, essay and letter .I divide Yuan Zhong Dao's prose into two parts. First, traditional prose. The traditional prose only takes the small part of his prose, there are not any characteristics on art. This part can be divided into two kinds of argumentation and preface on the whole. Among them, a little greater with the achievement in art of the preface. Yuan hits main achievement of his prose in the essay. The essay takes the majority of his prose creation. I divide Yuan ZhongDao's essay into four major plates: travel notes, biography, diary, and sketch. I speak of from the travel notes first . I analyse Yuan's travel notes created in large quantity reason , act as first to his characteristic briefly and then at first. I divide Yuan's travel notes serial mountains and rivers travel notes, scholar travel notes, mountains and rivers humane speciality, language character. Meanwhile, I analyse their artistic characteristics. Yuan ZhongDao's biography is gentle although there is fewquantity , but the achievement made is very great, very characteristic on art. At first from dishes of biography gentle achievement high reason expound in causing, I divide it into five respects: Expose the biography that politics degenerated, borrow personage express biography, behavior lower floor biography of people of thought, done biography, biography gentle at language and personage special for relatives and friends. Diary is Yuan ZhongDao's diary body prose. It is composing a piece of writing with the form of the article peculiarly, and the amount of information is relatively large. I divide Yuan's diary into travel record, literature record, strange people record, social the people record, parts of characteristic of characters . I attempt to probe into this diary body of Yuan ZhongDao's masterpiece from thought content and artistic characteristics. Finally, what I expounded is created by document of Yuan ZhongDao's essay. I divide it into five parts: Scenery random notes, random notes in broad-minded life, random notes, personage's random notes, correspondences .Above all, we hit Yuan Zhong Dao's extant prose , carry on careful classification, analyse, and reveal the Yuan Zhong Dao's origin cause of formation of prose in order to make his literature achievement get due appraisal.
