A Research On The Interactions Between Fujian Tea Export And Regional Economy In Qing Dynasty

As one of the three main export commodities in Qing dynasty, tea Has played an important rote in the history of china's foreign trade, and has been an important part in the study of the history of sino-foreign relations. On the bases of the predecessors' achievements, the article outlines the changes of the main categories of Fujian tea, its planting places and exporting situations in different periods, and analyses how export trade of Fujian tea changed with the international tea market in Qing dynasty. Then the effect the economic conditions of Fujian affect the export of fujian tea. On the other hand, the development and decline of tea trade have forced flourishment and recession of the Fujian economy in many aspects, such as relative industries, planting place of other plants in tea growing area, and trade development in coastal cities.
