| The rapid development of market economy calls for the reconstruction of the life philosophy, while the traditional life philosophy is undoubtedly the source of wisdom for us to reconstruct our life philosophy. Whether the soul of the traditional life philosophy can be inherited and carried forward depends on many conditions and efforts. However, it is an important task to distinguish the good from the bad through careful self-reflection and to combine the best part of the traditional life philosophy with the spirit of our age, thus endowing it with new meaning of our age. Then we should advocate and carry out the new life philosophy in various forms, so as to urge people to consciously identify with the traditional culture endowed with new meaning of our age. Therefore, we urgently need to carry out a comprehensive analysis and selection on Zhuang Zi's life philosophy with the instruction of Marxism. We should integrate and improve those elements that are conducive to the development of the Chinese nation but still haven't been fully realized and are even misunderstood, so as to make them a component of modern life philosophy.Adhering the above-mentioned principles, this paper makes a careful study on Zhuang Zi's life philosophy and finds out that it can play a positive role in improving our personality, optimizing the national character and promoting the social development, because it can help people detach themselves from the external material world and internal emotional restrictions, cultivate the concept of reforming and utilizing the nature on the precondition of conforming to the natural laws, realize psychological balance against the social background in the market economy, and establish such ideas as thrifty, tolerance, equality, universal brotherhood, etc. |
