Network Literature: Sashay Between The Media And Culture

Being a newly literature style which descend the noblest traditional literature to commonage of pasture, however, the academia gave less discussion to the meaning of the existence of online literature and the nuance new quality different from traditional literature. This paper sets out from the relation between media and culture, discusses how the network mould the new quality of online literature with nature of pluralism, open and mutual cooperation; and reveals the subversion by online literature to the old normal in literature. At the same time, the writer analyses the creation characteristics of network original literature attempting to predict the prospect of the development of online literature from the respects such as psychology of the creation, content of the subject, and the technique of expression and style. And try to give some advice about the Network Literature, hope that it will break through the embarrassment, and get another chance to develop healthily.This paper consists of three parts. The first part aims to take a deep look at the social and cultural impacts on the concept of value and thinking style brought about by the development of media. And online literature is bird-viewed from the perspective of culture. Based on the characteristics of network media, the second part addresses to the newly emerged qualities of online literature which differentiate from the tradition. The third part brings an inspection to the original works and the creation characteristics of the online literature. The paper concludes at the revealing of the future and crisis of the online literature from a cultural perspective and make some suggestions for it to break through the non- optimistically situation.
