Ecologic Ethics And Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is the major subject of discussion in modern society practice. As a new and developing ethics that dedicates itself to adjust the relations of man and nature, ecologic ethics is very important and valuable to human being's sustainable development. The thesis bases on advancing human being's sustainable development to get to the man's highest value pursuit. The thesis profoundly analyzes ecologic ethics' theoretical contents, explains its important function and effect in the human beings' sustainable development, expands people's research field on sustainable development and finally establishes the important role of ecologic ethics during social sustainable development.The main content of the article contains five parts. The first part concisely introduces the ecologic ethics and sustainable development's historical evolution, the main concepts and the theory meaning and characters. To formidable challenges of ecologic crisis of man's sustainable development that it is now faced, the second part clearly puts forward that social sustainable development needs the positive jointment of ecologic ethics. The article firstly analyzes the causes of ecologic crisis, then it brings up a serial measures to resolve this crisis. It believes that ecologic ethics is a fundamental method that relaxes the all-round oppositive and clashed relation of man and nature. On the basis of this realistic analysis, the article considers that ecologic ethics is an inevitable choice of sustainable development. It contains three causes: the similar history mission of their theories; the inherent predicament of sustainable development and the defect of the traditional ethics' idea. The third part is the crux of this thesis. It makes a systematic study of the value and effect which ecologic ethics impacts on sustainable development, and it was mainly embodied on theory and practiceaspects. On the theoretical aspect, ecologic ethics promotes sustainable development's theory to be in more and more perfection and deepness. It is shown in the three following points: ecologic ethics provides a reasonable provement for the values of sustainable development; ecologic ethics provides a new moral support for the theory of sustainable development. On the practical aspect, ecologic ethics shows four functions during social sustainable development. It contains the function of standard and restraint, the function of knowledge and education, the function of evaluation and encouragement, the function of environmental legislation. Moreover, the regulated mechanism of those functions contains the directly regulated mechanism of man and nature, the indirectly regulated mechanism of person and society, the innerly regulated mechanism of person and self. The fourth part detailed analyzes the value and effect of ecologic ethics in our country's sustainable development from three bedding surfaces. Firstly, from the nation's traditional civilization point of view. Secondly, the thesis demonstrates the value and meaning from five aspects which ecologic ethics has in our country's sustainable development. It is beneficial to reverse "the invalid of policy" that universally exists. And that it can raise the people's overall qualities, advance our country's ecologic construction and ecologic protection, eliminate the unbalanced question which exists in different areas. Finally, the Article brings up four cardinal principles that we must obey to construct the ecologic ethics that be suitable for the sustainable development with Chinese characteristics. It contains four substances: regarding the Marxist thought on ecologic nature as the theoretical principles, insisting on the subject of value of national standard, inheriting all the thoughts of ecologic ethics in ancient and modern society inside and outside our country in a critical way, being on the basis of the practice of our country's sustainable development.
