| This study focuses on the essential aspects in the painting works and theories on painting crafts, i.e.the issue of double-ideology, which were originated from Bruegel, Bruegel arising during the period of Northern Renaissance, was regarded as the one who achieved the most in the painting craft in the 16th century Netherland and the great painting master who inherited and developed the school of Netherland since the mid-late 16th century. The double-ideology means important factors into creations of Bruegel which based on traditional Netherland's Art and social surroundings. That's expression to period , region, nationality, regime , Art's traditiona and artist itself, all of that finally reflacted in paintings of Bruegel. The painting works of Bruegel were comparatively vague to comprehend owing to the profound intensions including the ethnic convention of Netherland. and its various painting patterns during the individual periods of development, and the great amount of painting codes such as symbolization and emblem. The craft theories of Bruegel and the representation forms embodied in his works such as symbolization, emblem and vagueness were partly from the Medieval Gothic art and the inheritance of his predecessors. The complicated and confusing double-ideology embodied in the paintings of Bruegel was, to a great extent, originated from the sense of loss and pessimism haunting the era of upheaval. We believe, as far as the works of Bruegel are concerned, the double-ideology originated from the particular era and contexts of art constituted the complexity for the comprehension in-depth. The present study, which distinguished itself from the views of the predecessors, put forward the new idea concerning the thorough comprehension of the art genius of Bruegel, i.e. double-ideology, which was running through his art and originated from the convention (emblem) and reality. The paper, beginning with the factors of the Netherland painting patterns, analyzed the history, reality and works so as to review and comment on the effects and embodiment of double-ideology on Bruegel's art genius and painting works. |
