Chinese rhymes dictionaries are important basis for us to understand the pronunciation of the middle ancient times. Wang Ren Xu "KanMiuBuQueQieYun" (王仁昫《刊谬补缺切韵》), between "Qieyun"(切韵) and"Guangyun"(广韵),is the earliest and intactest "Qieyun"(切韵) redaction and can not be substituted during the study of the pronunciation in the middle ancient times. Regarded as the study object, the" another sound"(又音) of "Wang-san"(王三)is investigated wholly and systematically. And the "another sound" is the important part of the Chinese rhymes dictionaries. It has complicated origins and numerous forms. The character of language it reflected includes the current language, contemporary pronunciation, dialect and other pronunciations coming from different inheritance, different regions, different times .It is the precious pronunciation material. The paper has an overall description on" Wang-san". It analyses and sums up the historical phenomenon that there isn't a binary distinction between the labio-dental and the bilabial, between the dental and the retroflex occlusive; Shan(禅)is identical to Chuan(船); Cong(从)is identical to Xie(邪);there exist mixture between Jing(精) and Zhuang(庄); between the third division of theYu (喻) and the Xia(匣) initial group; The voiced sounds have changed into voiceless sounds. Except the systematic changes, there is a lot of special changes of" Wang-san", The pronunciation phenomena which it reflect mainly includes:nasal and stop consonants are not distributed evenly; Jing(精) and Zhang(章) ,JianXi(见溪) and XiaoXia(晓匣) ,the third division and the fourth division in theYu (喻),clear and semi-clear can phonetically transcribe each other, have embodied the characteristic of Chinese dialect in the main. But the characters that the rhymes revealed are not as obvious as those of initial consonants. The papers has collated doubtful another sound.
