He Xun was one of the celebrated poets in the Liang Dynasty. Although his family was not noble, his deceased grandfather dad been high-profile official of the government and his cousins' poems were famous. His beginning of official position was very humble and his accomplishment was not outstanding, too. He was not successful in his life. Shen Yue who was one of the Jing Ling Literary Group in the year of Yong Ming sang the praises of his poems employing no literary quotation, which was pure, fresh and natural. The later critics appreciated He Xun's poems. However his poems was not selected by Wen Xuan which is one of the great literary selected works by Xiao Tong. The first chapter focuses on He Xun's family background, and makes corrections of He Xun's life and his part of poems. In addition, the author infers why he was unsuccessful in his government post. In the second chapter the author first explores the existence of He Xun's poetries and proses, making a preliminary conclusion of over 100 poems and five pieces of prose. Secondly, the author discusses the artistic style of his poems. Finally the author analyzes the impact of his literary creation upon his time and the later ages. In the third chapter, the author explores why He Xun's poems was not selected by Wen Xuan.
