The study of the Book of Odes reached a summit in Qing dynasty, the initial stage of Oing , the early ninety years, is a primary focus of this article.The article proceeds in four steps.In a first step , an introduction outlines the study of the Book of Odes in Qing dynasty.In a second step, a general discussion on the topic pictures the footprints of the study in the early Qing with examining the efforts of six researchers. It argues that opening itself to different schools of thought and being full of the deep regretion for subjugation to Qing dynasty as well as affectionate care for homeland feature the study in the period.In a third step, the article provides a case study including the efforts of Cheng-ze Sun, Zi-long Chen, Fu-zhi Wang, Kui-xun Lu.In a fourth step, a conclusion reviews the article and proposes the further efforts on the study of the Book of Odes.The methodological consideration of the paper stresses a historical facts -based one, and highlights reliable and sufficient literatures.
