During the process of his writing of Shihchi, Si Maqian, directly or indirectly, cites the verse from the Book of Odes. He takes it as originates of its historical data, the authoritative theoretical argument, or he records the characters who appear in the Book of Odes consciously. All of these reflect some views of Si Maqian to the Book of Odes . Especially, Si Maqian in Shihchi relates and analyses, directly or indirectly, the problems like the compiling of the Book of Odes, the relationship between Confucius and the Book of Odes, the time of writing of Ode to Shang, folk songs in the Book of Odes and so on. Form these above, people can see the viewpoint of Si Maqian to the Book of Odes. The paper believes that the Book of Odes has the theoretical authority in Si Maqian's mind. It contains the inheritance of the poetry tradition of pre-Qin and the tendency to respect Confucius of Si Maqian. Si Maqian also see the the Book of Odes as a valuable historical materials , which also affects the viewpoint of later generation Zhang Xuecheng's six Confucian classics all history. The second chapter focuses on the similarities and differences between the Shihchi that cites the Book of Odes and extant Mao Shi. Si Maqian studied the Lu Poem, through compared to analyzes, and found it is mostly the same except for minor differences in the grammar between the Shihchi that cites the Book of Odes and extant Mao Shi. This shows that the Book of Odes has undergone the ravages of Qin fire, but not distortion seriously when transmitted to the Han Dynasty. However, the commentaries to the topics of the Book of Odes almost are different. It explains that in pre-Qin Dynasty, the talking about the Book of Odes made by Confucian classic teachers was kept little. So the Confucian classic teachers had nothing to depend on and they had to guess subjectively. In addition, in Han Dynasty, the explanation of the Book of Odes needed to serve politics. therefore, there are differences in illustrting the topics of he Book of Odes. In the third chapter, the author directly or indirectly gives his own viewpoints about some major issues of the Book of Odes in shihchi, for example, the question of the writing year of Ode to Shang, the deletion of poem by confucius and folk songs in Book of Odes and so on. What's more, the author makes a careful analysis and expects to offer some clues of solution to those questions which puzzle people for a long time, involving the research of the Book of Odes. The author believes that inspection the situation of citing from the Book of Odes in Shihchi thoroughly and carefully, the relation and analysis of some questions of the Book of Odes in Shihchi and the discussion of Si Maqian' viewpoint to the Book of Odes, all these have the noticeable academic value for distinguishing some significant matters which exist in the history of the Book of Odes research.
