On Travels Prose Of SuShi

There was uncertainty of official career during Sushi's life. Traveling almost everywhere in his best, he wrote down plenty of excellent travels prose. However, from the present condition of research with Sushi's travels prose, it is necessary for us to do some comprehensive and systematic study. Therefore, the author sort out about sixty-four pieces of his travels from COLLECTED WORKS OF SUSHI and DONGPO ZHILIN-CHOUCHI BUI as researching test, and try to give it a general discussion with careful study in text. The thesis consists of three parts. Part one analyses his travels' thoughts and content. Considering that the masterpieces are the reflection of writer's spirit and life, the writing creation is restricted by the changes of his life. In view of which, there were different contents because of Sushi's two ups-and-down during his different periods. So, the author discusses the content classifying into four categories. Part two, comparing with other great prose writers, explores his prose' artistic characteristic, which includes five sections: the ingenious conception, the form of expression, the styles of changes, the character of language, the artistic style. Part three elaborates the historical attribute and state of Sushi's travels by means of reviewing the travels prose in history of Chinese Ancient Literature. His boldmess exploration opened a new way in this field in which influenced the writers from then on.
