Science-technology and morality are two important forces embracing human life. After studying the developmental skeleton of the relationship between science-technology and morality in the ancient Greece, the Medieval and the Modern time three periods, we can find Whether they are in harmony or in conflicts would have great influence on human social life. Keeping a necessary tension between science-technology and morality is an important historical conclusion. The evolution of the relation between science-technology and morality comes out of the interactions of different social factors such as economy, ideology, religion, military affairs and war. culture and so on. The severe balance-lost situation of the relation between science-technology and morality, many ethical and moral problems as well as alienation caused by modern science-technology call for keeping a tension between science-technology and morality. A reasonable tension means a dynamic balance between science-technology and morality, which will offer feasible room for both in accordance with the demand of the times and society, keep the two within a reasonable circumscription, promote their advancement and the development of human being and society in a free and all-round way. The multi-dimensional humanity, the meditative and critical nature of human being, the advent of Knowledge Economy and the practical endeavors of the human race display a possibility, an opportunity of the times and a promising prospect for keeping a tension between science-technology and morality. And to form a reasonable tension between science-technology and morality requires efforts from the following three aspects: to maintain the dynamic balance between social forces, to supervise scientists to shoulder social responsibility, morality and justice, and tohelp science-technology and morality go towards a reasonable tension, namely, science-technology should both adhere to moral base line and pursuit moral ideal while morality should seek the integration of scientific quality, advancement and relative stability, whose ultimate direction is the whole development of human being and the health and persistence of society.
