| Lu Xun and Wang Zengqi, although differing in life experiences, inclinations and characters, both employ "Childhood Perspective" identically in part of their works. However, it is seriously different that why they employ "Childhood Perspective", how they employ it and what effect this perspective brings. When most of former critics remarked on the "Childhood Perspective" existing in Lu Xun's and Wang Zengqi's works, they didn't define it definitely, neither did they employ narrative theory to analyze it. Therefore, based on the above analysis, I plan to begin with "Childhood Perspective" and employ psychological and narrative theory to have the comparative research on some novels written by Lu Xun and Wang Zengqi. This dissertation can be divided into three parts. In the first part, I want to analyze the reason why they employ "Childhood Perspective" based on childhood psychological sediments and life experiences in future. Lu Xun's "Deficient Experience" made him understand the bitterness of society and mean parts of human nature after he experienced a lot in his childhood. Perhaps the only happy time in all his life was that transient days when he spent in the country where his grandma lived. After he walked into the society, he suffered a series of attacks and persecutions. Facing the desperate reality, he had to go back to the deepest place of his heart, reverted to the unhappy childhood and picked up some warm stories again. Therefore, the reason why Lu Xun employs " Childhood Perspective" in his works is to escape from the cruel reality. Meanwhile, as an evolutionist, he persists in believing that the young are often superior to the old and the destiny of children is linked with the prospect of our homeland tightly. So we can say, the "Childhood Perspective" writing was a weapon to enlighten.Compared with Lu Xun's childhood, Wang Zengqi's childhood is typical of "Affluent Experience". When he was a child, he lived in happiness and ease, which made him live inthe fairy world and developed his kind and law-abiding nature. Therefore, after he suffered an array of riot turbulence in 20c, he didn't have enough strength to deal with this circumstance. For him, the only way was to go back to his childhood immediately and find solace in that childhood pure paradise. Thus, we can say, the reason why he employs "Childhood Perspective" was only to escape. In the second part, employing narrative theory, I intend to analyze the difference of their "Childhood Perspective" writing. This part can be divided into three subsections.Firstly, there are two kinds of perspectives in Lu Xun's works, that is to say, Childhood Perspective and Adult Perspective. Adult Perspective shows his sober criticism color, while Childhood Perspective addresses that childish delight that he felt in his childhood. Contrasted with Lu Xun, Wang Zengqi employs the unique Childhood Perspective in his works and he reflects the reality through the filtering of the children's naive and simple eyesight. Therefore, his works can mirror the essence of the things and present a fabulous effect.Secondly, Lu Xun utilizes the first person in his Childhood Perspective works, which makes narrator, focalizor and actor merge into one person. Meanwhile, the narrator begins to walk out of narrative theory and becomes alive. People can learn not only the style of text, but the style of role from the voice of narrative utterance and the color of expressing.Wang Zengqi likes to apply the third person in his works. "He" is an actor or a focalizor. Sometimes, there only exsits the simple coincidence of focalizor and actor. So his works are similar to no person narration which seems to be objective and displays the trait of Manifestation narration.Thirdly, Lu Xun uses the alternate tense, that's "the present" and "the past". The use of emphasis on "present" is that "present" is not only the story time, but also is the time when the narration is going, which makes the reader have the illusion that the narration activity and incident take place sim... |
