| Women writers group in the period of the May 4th movement is the first generation of women writers in the history of Chinese modern literature . Carrying on the result of the modernization changes since the late Qing dynasty , they enter the literary circle and raise the curtain of Chinese female novel writing . For Chinese women literary, their novel writing not only opened up rich themes and subjects , but also set up new type and style of women writing .This article through the concrete analysis of women writing in the period of the May 4th movement , displays three kinds of their novel writing : new female ideal in the period of the May 4th movement set up by Feng Yuan-juan and Bin Xing , the anxious of the new women ideal felt by Lu Yin ,Shi Ping-mei and so on , the disillusion of new women ideal made by Lin Shu-hua , displays the general trend of women writers novel writing from naive to mature and from ideal to reality .
