More and more attention is given to the research on the body. At the end of 19th, the traditional ontological status of reason is displaced by non-rational life advanced by two German philosophers: Anthur Schopenhauer and Friedrich Nietzsche. The great turn of philosophical theme become apparent. Sensible demands are out of control of reason, attaining the equivalent speech right, but getting to another extreme and leading to some social problems. The prosperity of the Embodiment Theory is an adjustment of opposite contradiction existing between rationalism and sensibilities, and is an attempt to pursue for human life in this side of world. When confronting the crisis of universal value, the theory of body tried to resolve not pure local problem in west society. So, in a neutral attitude, the paper tries to expound from three view the theory of body under west context, briefly drawing some philosophical doctrine from 20th to now which effected deeply the produce of theory of body, and wishing contribute to this work. The Embodyment Theory is a new attempt to resolve the traditional question of body-mind dualism. It fully ensures the proper rationality of sensibility, body is not pure physical organism, but is connection between mind and trunk; body includes not only trunk, but also consciousness. This paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter "the source of the theory of body in the modern context" introduces the emergence and reason of body. Though individual is free from the authority of the divinity by Renaissance, but sensible demands of body are limited in the rational judgment, the classical humanistic tradition changed in the 19th century, non-rational factors is got more attention gradually, new coporal notion is constituted in the phenomenology. After Husserl, body has aroused many philosophers" concern. The author thinks the reason for the change including four aspects, that is, the development of economy, the death of the opposite world, the mutli-divergence of culture, the way of protesting authority.Stating the argument between rational demands and sensible demands by ancientstory "Heracles at the crossroad" .The second parts describes the clues, which the ontological roles of non-rational factors in the modern context is attained, from Schopenhauer and Nietzsche's will-to-live, Wilhelm Dilthey's life, Sigmund Freud's sexual instinct and unconsciousness (and C.G.Jung's collective unconsciousness) the emergence of phenomenonology has effected the 20th the whole field of west social science. France phenomenonlogy effected by Merleau-Ponty is also named as "the phenomenology of coporal existence" . So, Phenomenology as a way is introduced in the end of the second. The last two chapters are the major parts. The re-explanation of the theory is from three aspects: the way of being, of thinking, of speech. Based on Marx's notion of practice, and making use of his dialectic theory, the third insists the consistency of human natural and social essence, studying the individual's body under the horizon of social group, and thinking the specialty and the closeness of body, meanwhile simultaneity and openness of body constituted socially. The body existence in timoral-spatial dimension is given to historical depth, breaking the west traditional analyzed thinking, owing to wide view of whole way of thinking. The appearance of theory of body is new result of adjusting the relationship between body and mind, evaluating the appropriation of sensible demands by confirming the value of reason at the same time. So sensibility is free, which cannot leads to the prosperity of naturalism and indulgence, the difficulty of this theory is result from the relationship between the difficulty of individual' choice and the hurt of body in the individual free ethic. We can't state whether religion or aestheticism is conceived as new belief in order to make up for this difficulty. In all, the theory of body is frontal field of the study, the paper only tried to completely describe it from three aspect...
