Culture And Foreign Language Teaching

With the development of cross-cultural communication, more and more people are beginning to show interest to culture of foreign language teaching. This paper makes an effective probe towards the hot issue.On the basis of the relationship between language and culture, this paper analyses the weaknesses existing in foreign language teaching in China in the view of cultural differences and results in the necessity to add culture in foreign language teaching. The remaining part, which makes up the main body of this paper, probes the goals, content and the various techniques of culture teaching in foreign language class. And also gives some constructive suggestions towards culture teaching. Cultural syllabus design, textbooks compilation, literature and teachers?role are all within the author's consideration.
