Islamism of Tang and Song Dynasty and its relation to Northwest Economic Exploitation The Northwest is the first area that Jslamism was spreaded into China.The relationship has not been since more attention that exists between the economic exploitation of Northwest area of China and Islamism since it was spreaded into China from Tang and Song Dynasty. Islamism is not only a kind of religious conviction, but also a kind of living style, culture and social entity.The propagation of Islamism is the result of economic activities by Arabian, persian and middle-Asian Muslim merchants, as well as those who came to pay tributes, further, the Muslim contributions to Northwest economy with commercial economy as mainstay also give a pitus to the dissemination of Jslamism in this area. For the assimilation among lslamism and cultures of different nationalities of Northwest area, a kind of new culture, Northwest Islamism, come into being after long terms of development and evolution, which has been becoming the spiritual pillar of 10 minority nationalities of this area. Based on the analysis of relative materials, this paper is aimed to research the inter-relationship among religion culture and development of religion economy, which has been grounded on the relationship of Islamism in Tang and Song Dynasty and Northwest economic exploitation. And starting from the materialistic interpretation of history, the author of this paper holds that it is unlikely for us to understand the inner relationship between original Islamism and its commercial economy if we don抰 consider those two factors within a complete categorv.The fact must be acknowledged that Northwest Islamism has been exerting greater influence on the society and economy than other cultures do. And it is just this point that has played an important role in the exploitation of nationality economy. This paper. based on the above understanding, will be divided into 4 parts to discuss a series of problems that existed both in Jslamism of Tang and Song Dynasty and in its relation to Northwest economic exploitation. Part one is focused on the establishment of Islamism. as well as its being dissemination into Mid-Asia and Northwest China; Part two is focusesed on the background, time, routine, several conditions and features of the propagation of Islamism in Northwest China in Tang and Song Dynasty; Part three will be parsed onto the contents and characteristics of this area that was contributed by Muslim in that historical epoch; Part four, the last part. is focusesed on the roles and contributions by Muslim, as well as some problems the roles and contributions by Muslim, as well as some problems which need to be attended.
