Body language,means that the various actions by the body instead of the language of communication in order to express the emotion .Body language of animated characters is a kind of language form generated by changes of the image of the limbs and facial expressions in the animated film.Animated body language means the language form of the change the body and facial expression produced by the animated character in the animated film.In this paper, Body language meaning,function and history was set forth through the use of literature, evaluation analysis, logical analysis, case analysis and other methods from psychology, Performance Studies, animation, semiotics and other aspects. Through deeply analyse the typical and representative animated characters, from the operation of the global diversity of Performance Studies, as well as the impact of modern animation design and other aspects,this paper accurately analyses the animation the role of body language, composition, characteristics, historical background and its design features of the Animated character's body language,and improve and enrich the theoretical level animation research, so as to provide reference and basis for the rational design of animated characters performance. Through deeply analyse the typical and representative animated characters in home and abroad, to make people aware and concerned about the body language , a particular performance art. The research of the influence of animation creation and performance , taking advantage of this can fulfill and enrich animation creation and practice, therefore we can have a good lesson and have the guiding significance from that .
