People use words to express ideas, to transmit information. Language is the result of thinking, and thinking links with an extensive world: specific people and things, abstract ideas and emotions. Therefore, verbal communication is not just a matter of language, the recipient also can not simply consider the language itself, but to fully grasp the message that is transferred by various factors; not only combine the verbal contexts, but also consider the contextual factors, such as: the status, ideological training, emotional situations, language background, purpose and motivation speech potential. Although the existence of context is as long as the language, but it is lagging behind on the study of context, not to say the system study; and the researches basically only from the perspective of language itself, and ignore that a variety of factors beyond language are involved in the construction of speech information. In 1923, Polish anthropologists Malinluofu Gaussian firstly extend the context from the linguistic context to linguistic context and situational context. The recipient often can not understand because of the lack of contextual information, resulting in poor communication. This is a phenomenon of non- self-sufficient context. And the formation of context because of the following points: firstly, the characteristics of context, such as: abstract, dynamic, changing and so on, makes the mobility of specific words in context; secondly, Context was reflected obstacles.The study on Non-self-sufficient context is at the beginning, and there is no system. I can only rely on a rough analysis based on literary and artistic works. Essay is the literary works which are more use the Non-self-sufficient context, it transfers the Non-self-sufficient context to artistic expression.This paper is divided into three parts: Part one is an introduction, it introduce the main background and significance of Non-self-sufficient context. Part two discusses the brilliant essay and the use of context. Part three is the theoretical part, firstly introduces the the concept, principle and use of Non-self-sufficient context, and focuses on the performance of non-self-sufficiency context in essay. In conclusion, the current bias on the context and the phenomenon that not enough attention to non-self-sufficiency context is proposed, and look forward that non-self-sufficient context research will be developed and better serve the communication and the arts. |
