Kucha is a famous Buddhism divine place in ancient west regions, various Buddism theories were spreaded in Kucha and the thoughts of Buddhist Paradise which derives from India was also spreaded in Kucha.The academe have no clear point on the spread of the thoughts of Buddhist Paradise in Kucha before Tang Dynasty,such as whether the Paradise of Maitreya was spreaded in the place.In fact,from the various evidences we can known that many important Paradises in Buddhism was spreaded in Kucha.In addition,both of Han people and Uigur people in Kucha worshiped the Buddhist Paradise,so to research the main types and source of their thoughts about Paradise is very important.The spread of Buddhist Paradise in Kucha can be divided into three stages:One, period of Kucha Kingdom(3~7th centry A.D.).We can see that classics about Paradise had been spreaded in Kucha from the history of Kucha monks'translation.Buddhism in Kucha always had both of Hinayana and Mahayana and there were many classics of Mahayana flowed into Kucha in history.The classics of Mahayana which are rich in imagination have much description to the Paradises in Buddhism.Kucha people who believed in Mahayana would be moved by the description of Paradises in these classics surely.Moreover, the culture of Maitreya is very prosperous in Kucha, this is not only limited by the faith of Maitreya in Hinayana, but also are relevant with the expectation of the The Savior Messiah.We also can find the words about the future Maitreya country in classics which were spread in Kucha.The Paradise of Maitreya were undoubtedly very popular among Kucha people.Two,period of Tang Dynasty managing western regions(7~8th centry A.D.).While Tang Dynasty were conducting western regions, many Han people came into Kucha and the Buddhist Paradise were popular among those Han people.Most of the frescos about the Paradise are depicting the world of Amitabha,so the west Paradise was the most important faith among Han people and they viewed it as the best end-result of the ghost after they died.The west Paradise had the dominant place in Han people in Kucha in Tang Dynasty and that was accordance with the situation that the faith in Maitreya was declining and the faith in Amitabha was prosperous in that time.Moreover, there were many Han people who believed in Buddhism in Kucha and the attitudes about the Paradise were not just the same.Maybe some of them would not worship the Paradise and we can find proofs in ancient books in Kucha.Three, period of Uigur.(after 9th centry A.D.).Uigur in Kucha had the faith in the Buddhist Paradise and many of them saw the land as their beautiful end-result after they died.Uigur also hoped get their contributions to their friends so they could obtain the chance to the Paradise. The Uigur's beliefs of the Paradise in Kucha derived from the Buddhism of Han people and they were influenced directly by the Han people in western regions.In addition,from history books we can know that Uigur in Kucha had a very close relation with the Buddhism in the Han people's region.The faith in the Paradise also had a close relation with Uigur in Turpan where the faith about the Paradise are very popular.The spread of Buddhist Paradise in Kucha reflected the evolvement of Buddhism and the change of the nations in Kucha in one way.
