Adverb is an important grammar project of Modern Chinese.Although there are a small quantity of degree adverbs,it is frequently used in Modern Chinese and the usage of the same degree adverbs is different.So,the Chinese learners usually have various kinds of errors when using it in the process of second-language learning,it also brings difficulty to the second-language teaching to some extent.But examining the studies of degree adverbs shows that although we gain many achievements in these studies , we seldom connect them with the second-language learning studies.Although all those achievements can benefit the Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,the achievements connected with the second-language learning studies benefit directly.This research,basing the Second Language Acquisition theory and degree adverbs teaching research results,through the forms of doing questionnaires and interviewing,testing,we survey the status quo of Chinese Acquisition as a Second Language on degree adverbs.There are four chapters in this Paper.Chapter one introduces the background,the progress and existing problems of degree adverbs acquisition study as well as the purpose of the paper and proposal for solution,gives research methods and progress,the content of questionnaire.It also circumscribes the degree adverbs which are our target of research.Chapter two investigates and analyzes foreign students'study of degree adverbs;We analyze the statistics of answers to these items from three aspects,namely syntactic distribution,semantic understanding and pragmatic meaning;According to right answers,we modify the acquisition sequence of these degree adverbs.Chapter three researches and analyzes the degree adverb"tai(太)""hen(很)""duo(多)""geng(更)""bijiao(比较)""shaowe(i稍微)".We analyze the natural sentence of them,sums up the different usages and right percent,types the errors in the usage of them.Chapter four gives some advices on the teaching methods of degree adverbs and Text book'compilation basing on the researches and analyses of"tai(太)""hen(很)""duo(多)""geng(更)""bijiao(比较)""shaowei(稍微)"and so on.The end is a summary of this thesis,it envisages further improvement for this work.
