Research On The Lexicalization And Grammticalization Of "Dang X"

Presently, research on lexicalization and grammaticalization is under great popularity. This thesis will take"dang X", a frequently used noun phrase in Mandarin Chinese, as the object of our research. We'll try to give some analysis on the lexicalization and grammaticalization about"dang X". The paper is divided into three sections.Section one is a brief introduction to the history and current situation of the lexicalization and grammaticalization research. Meanwhile we clarify the significance of the subject, describe the research methods, and establishe our research objective.Section two is the body part and consists of four chapters, in which we carefully describe and analyze the lexicalization process of"dangshi","dangqian","dangji"and"dangxia". We also pay some attention to the relevant questions about grammaticalization.In section three, based on the previous research, we draw some conclusion and try to explore the simlarities and discrepancies in the process of the lexicalization of"dang X".
