Havelock, who is a classical scholar of contemporary western countries, Homer is an ancient encyclopedia. Homer Epics, a masterpiece of worldwide fame, have been the source of western literature of several thousand years, its importance is equal to Analects of Confucius or The Book of Odes in chinese literature. It had a pernicious influence on all the various historical stages, such as Aristotle, Milton, Goethe, Shelley, Joyce, have the deepest influence on the epics. As H. J.Rose said, who is a famous literary critic,"in all aspects of ancient Greece and the development of European literature", Homer Epics set a a fitting direction. Homer epic reportedly is writen by Homer, the ancient Greek blind poet,including the Iliad and the Odyssey. It is the product of human social childhood, and it is the crystallization of the ancient greeks' wisdom and is recognized as the literature model. The theme of Iliad is "angry", as the Odyssey's theme is "coming-home". The Odyssey describes the returning of Odysseus, who is the hero in the trajan's war. Because of the description of fthe monster and the daily life,which is different from style of the Iliad, Whether in the Nausicaa's place or Circe's place, Homer always spare no effort to describe the picture of the ethics life,and the beauty of general life.This paper's research object is the text of Odyssey, and the main use of research method is ethical literary criticism. This paper holds that the Homer world is in the era when ethics play an important part in the daily life than political, Odysseus's returning chioce is ethical choice in home process which stick to his own moral goals, so it has the obvious ethical significance. In Circe's place, Odysseus choose returning home means that Odysseus chose to bear their "king" ethical identity represents the ethical obligations, in Calypso's place,Odysseus's choice means he chose to bear their own family ethical identity,such as "father's" and "husband's" represents the ethical obligations. This choice has manifested Odysseus's moral mission, which is to return to ethical world. Odysseus's moral goal became more firmness in his returning.The two test on Odysseus significance to return in chaos in the ethical order of the human ethics opened up the road, young man earthly spirit and humanistic spirit,it has an important influence on later generations.Odysseus's coming-home is the Obvious clue in this paper,and it was divided into three parts.
