Self-study exam of Higher education is a kind of education examination system, and it is original in China, in which self-study is important, teachers'help is auxiliary. Comparing Self-study exam system with the full-time college education system, the former mainly rely on self-study by the students. Then, what do they used to learn? Obviously, they take English textbook of self-study exam, which is not only the information carrier, but also is one of the important factors of education. Therefore, textbooks play a pivotal role on higher education self-study exam for students'learning. At present, along with the progress of the society, economic globalization accelerated the speed of higher education self-study exam of our country, the increasing demand for English talent that English major textbooks are particularly important for better construction and development.In theory, The making of textbooks for higher education self-study exam English major research is lacking and weak which compare with countries full-time college and some English majors of vocational technical school. In addition, in practice, it has a lot of English problems in the making the of textbooks of the English major organization and choose don't to reasonable, practice applied knowledge is relatively rare.
