Research On The Development Of Musical Major In Higher Vocational Education In Jiangsu Province Meeting Social Demand In New Century

Since Reformation and Opening, higher vocational education of music was born in the wave of the government advocating of initiating higher vocational education.Since the new century, Jiangsu Province experienced a leaping development, having cultivated a bundle of musical talents for our country.It can be predicted that the development of higher vocational education of music will have a promising future. Despite the fast pace, some problems are awaiting rectification and improvement.By using methods of survey, interview, statistics, and so on, this essay embarks on the current situation of higher vocational music education, which was a field research on this issue. From the point of view of cultivating talents, as for the higher vocational education of music in Jiangsu Province, this paper dialectically analyzed its achievements and existing problems since the new century, studied the way of reform and the potential prospects, and as well gave some practical, feasible, and detailed suggestions to the reinforcements and improvements of its development. This essay believes that the cultivation of talents in the higher vocational education of music should focus on social needs and form a complete system of theories and practical teaching, so as to promote the sustainable development, to train inter-disciplinary talents that meet social demand, and at the same time to contribute some positive reference to the theory and practice of cultivation of talents in musical education in general higher-educational academies.
