The Characteristic Of The Time Perspective Of College Students In Disaster-Stricken, And The Relationship Between The Time Perspective, Mental Health And Life Satisfaction

Time perspective is a relative stability of the individual characteristics, and stable mental and behavioral characteristics on cognition and feeling time perception. Time perspective is not only a dynamic trait, but also a ability trait. Based on comprehensive collection of existing research documents in and beyond the country about time perceptive, Through questionnaires, The study, combining with scales of time perspective, SCL-90 and life satisfaction, investigates 801 students from quake-hit region and non Disaster-stricken Based on the current research results concerning time perspective at home and abroad, this paper, in the form of questionnaire, made an investigation in relationship between mental health and life satisfaction and time perspective of college students. Research results as follows:(1) College Students time dimension of insight into the future, the gender difference of was significant,, Boys to girls in the longer term than Schoolboys are longer than schoolgirls. On the other four dimensions difference was not significant. Only son in the dimensions of future is higher.The interaction of the two variations between birthplace and disaster-stricken areas is significant. On the dimensions of past negative, the students from disaster-stricken areas there is no difference in Birthplace. The difference of Students from rural and urban students was significant in disaster-stricken areas. On the dimensions of future, the difference of Students from city students was not significant, weather its coming from disaster-stricken areas or not. But the difference of Students from rural and urban students was significant. (2) Time perspective and mental health and life satisfaction are obviously connected with each other. Future, past activeness and mental health and life satisfaction are obviously in negative relations; while present foreordination, past negativness, past negativeness and mental health and life satisfaction are obviously in positive relations.(3) Dimensions of time perspective could well forecast mental health and life satisfaction. The dimensions which possess manifest Regression Effect are:future, present foreordination, present happy, past negativeness and past activeness.
