Regarding the deduction of "Diaspora" in modern society as a breakthrough point, the dissertation expounds the Cultural Characteristic and the Aesthetic Pattern of "the Diaspora World" in Clezio's novels. And through the author's writing on humanism, the difficult situations related to humanity's survival and the spiritual lost in the modern material society could be clearly understood. The final analysis concerns the confusion in seeking an outlet and the demand for carefully examining the modern civilized world afresh. It is the author's purpose that, with the help of the texts, by explaining and presenting the beautiful as well as bleak pursuing and construction for the ideal living environment, which with no doubt backs out of the modern civilization, whose significance to Clezio himself and his literary production can be interpreted. The introduction part of the paper is divided into two levels, of which the first one succinctly combs the predecessors'research about Clezio's work in order to elicit the article's argument, while the second one carries out the proof of the article's argument, the critical model as well as the innovation value. The principal part of the paper is mainly divided into three chapters. The first chapter, which is entitle "Over-all Establishment of the'Diaspora World'", mainly talks about the recessive wound resulting from Clezio's early bitter experience and the family vicissitude and the wound's impact to his literal creation, which would be a good visual angle to the analysis on the significance of the beyond-the-history concept in his work deduced by "diaspora" Simultaneously, by summarizing Clezio's broad around-the-world travel experience, the chapter represents multiple expressions of "the diaspora world" in his work and analyzes his anxiety and deep thoughts for human survival under modern material civilization. The second chapter is entitled "Cultural Characteristic of the'Diaspora World'". With the help of Clezio's concrete novel texts, the chapter analyzes the plight the diaspora individual suffered on account of cultural shift. And with the help of Lacan's "the mirror image theory", the chapter explicates the individuals' sadness which comes from the loss of the survival foundations and the status symbols. For discontented with the current living situation in modern material civilized world, the individuals would unavoidably encounter with the huge impact between the ideal and the reality when they are seeking and constructing the life of "OURANIA", thus they will fall into the survival paradox, having no idea of whether they should "walk away", or "return home".The third chapter is entitled "Aesthetic Pattern of the'Diaspora World'". By analyzing the life experience in regressing to the pure nature in Clezio's work, this chapter mainly illustrates the native beauty contained in "the world of words and expressions" which clears away the complex significance, and comprehends the survival grief of "the marginal people" to define the absurd aesthetics the free tension shows under the modern linguistic context. The conclusion part makes a brief evaluation and reconsideration on Clezio's "diaspora world", which points out that, although such a counter-mainstream-civilization value will be doomed to flood drowns in the historical morass, it can actually arouse the pulsated life, and project the unyielding survival will in the solitary pursuit.
