Research On The Relationship Among University Students' Parental Upbringing Styles, Humor Styles And Subjective Well-being

Humour is always to be the hot topic for foreign researchers, but as to domestic, the research in this field is just in the orignal step, compared to foreign countries, there were fewer researchers researched on verifying research of humour style. In recent years, with the rising of positive psychology, humor is more and more focused by researchers. As one of the important elements of positive psychology, humour styles can ease psychological conflict, but not all humor styles is beneficial to people's physical and mental health, so it is usefull to promote and improve the individial subject well-being by corrective comprehension, appreciation, using and creating humour. This research discuss the relationship among parental upbringing styles, humor styles and subjective well-being in the universities, which is aiming to provide theory basis and practical guidance for the college mental healthy education.The instruments for this study are EMBU by Yue Dongmei, Humor Style Qustionnaire and subjective well-being Questionnaire by Zhengxue. It carried on the invesigation to 903 college students. SPSS16.0 and AMOS4.0 softwares were adopted to analyze the data. The reliability and validity, discible statistics, correlation analysis and analysis of multiple linear regressions .ect were mainly analysised. The main conclusions were as follows:1 The result of university student's parental upbringing style supposition examination shows the remarkable difference in sex, grades, family sources and whether single child.2 Humor styles have four dimensions, named Affiliative humor, Self-enhancing humor, Aggressive humor and Mocking humor.3 Humor styles in some of the demographic variables is significantly different: Affiliative humor has significant difference in sex and whether single child, Self-enhancing humor has significant difference in grades, Aggressive humor has significant difference in sex, grades, and family sources, Mocking humor has significant difference in the interaction of sex and family sources.4 University student's parental upbringing style, humor styles and subjective well-being related to each other in significant. Parental upbringing style and humor styles both predict subjective well-being of universy students.
