Phonological Study Of Jicun Dialect In Yuanshi

YuanShi county is located in the south-central of hebei province.Establishid on the Western Han Dynasty, it has a long history.Because of the remote geographical position,the dialect is also complicated.At the junction of ji lu mandarin and jin language,YuanShi dialect,at the edges of jin language,belongs to lu yuan piece of jin language area.The dialect retaines some pronunciation characteristics of ancient Chinese phonology,and it also has a character of mandarin dialects.Because language itself was constantly changing and the surrounding dialects also had given more or less influence on it, this dialect is experiencing complex changes on many aspects, especially on pronunciation aspect.Yet few people studied for YuanShi dialect. Taking jicun pronunciation as a example,this article carried on a more detailed descriptions and systematic survey and found the basic features of phonetic system from the synchronic and diachronic aspects.It makes a key analysis on prominent phonetic features.The survey will make access to further knowledge about YuanShi dialect and provides some reference materials to know more information about dialect at the junction of ji lu mandarin and jin language.This paper is mainly divided into four parts, roughly as follows:First, descrip the phonetic system of Jicun dialect,make the system of the homophone list.Then contrast the modern pronunciation and the ancient's.Second, to analyze the ru tone in jicun dialect.Thirdly,describe the classification and sum up regulation of suffixation pronunciation.Fourth, descripe and analy the phenomenon about special pronunciation change in jicun dialect.Through the study, we draw the following conclusions:First, there are 23 consonants,38 vowels and 4 tones in the phonetic system. Second,At the junction of ji lu mandarin and jin language,more impacted by mandarin, The main performance is lost into the Endings, and no glottal coda. Thirdly,ping tone regardless of yin and yang.The ru tone mianly change into the others,according the consonants. In short, Whether the ru tone reserve or not, and change into which tone mianly Depends on the consonant's type. Fourth, there are so many words have suffixation pronunciation. The difference with putong hua is the Syllable will change,not only vowels but also consonants. Last, so many reasons can Explain the special pronunciation in jicun dialect, The main factors are Chorus and Weakeness in the utterances.
