After joining into WTO, China's foreign trade and transnational business activities have become more frequent; intercultural communication professionals have become increasingly prominent in economic activities, which provide business English students a lot of employment opportunities. However, kinds of mistakes occur due to cultural differences in many college English students'factual working practice. As to Business English writing, students often express their thoughts according to native culture and pragmatic rules, crossing and colliding with different cultural factors, so misunderstandings and conflicts occur, resulting in varying degrees of pragmatic failures that affect the normal development of international business activities. This article focuses on how to overcome the barriers of cultural differences in business English writing, combining with examples to explain how to overcome the intercultural conflicts to improve students'writing ability. This article theoretically cites Geert Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory, Kluckhohn & Strodtbeck's value orientation theory and Brown & Levinson's politeness theory.Hofstede's analysis of intercultural differences began in the late 1960s of the 20th century. His views on cultural differences are formed on the basis of his experimental research. Hofstede's experimental study of culture has the landmark significance. This article introduces cultural dimensions theory, and analyses and demonstrates in the following instances of business English writing. Scholars in China begin to study in this field in the 1980s of the 20th century, which Hu Wenzhong, Jia Yuxin and other famous scholars'research in the area of intercultural communication have made outstanding contributions and provide a clue how to cultivate students'intercultural communicative competence in foreign language teaching. Professor Chen Jianping in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Professor Li Taizhi in Huzhou Teachers College also put forward the importance of cultivating students a healthy business cultural awareness and suggest a number of proposals. But theories blending intercultural communication study into business English writing remain relatively less. This author puts forward method of culture infiltrated teaching, and suggests how to put this method into the teaching of business English writing.Based on the above study of intercultural communication and business English writing and its teaching situation, as well as detailed theoretical basis, the author puts forward feasible views and method, and does the analysis with many instances of letter writing. From all these analyses, we can know that how we can deal with the impact of intercultural differences on business English writing so as to improve and develop students'intercultural communicative competence. Teaching of business English writing cannot be out of touch with cultural teaching. It is necessary to for students not only to master English skills, but also to master the cultural connotation and its pragmatic rules of business English. A lot of theories and practice show that, in method of improving learners' business English writing ability, it is an important improvement to bring intercultural theories into teaching, and go on training and exercises. The method of infiltrating intercultural knowledge into teaching is advanced, effective, and learner-centered, in which way teachers use to effectively improve learners'business English writing skills.
