An upsurge of learning Chinese emerges around the world in recent years. A large number of overseas students come to China to study Chinese or learn Chinese culture, meanwhile, Confucius Institutes also sprung up in foreign countries, which significantly promotes the international spread of Chinese language and output of Chinese culture. With the rapid development of international education in Chinese, Chinese learners show a trend of diversification in groups, objectives and environment, which has set a higher demand for Chinese teaching for foreigners and posed a more serious challenge.This article focuses on the design of class teaching of Spoken Chinese for Beginners. Author's collected and analyzed a large number of domestic and foreign research data on instructional design, concluded the development of instructional design at home and abroad, and discussed them from micro design of teaching; put forward the definition of class design, characteristics and the need for classroom teaching. By watch of teaching and practice, author found a series of problems of primary spoken Chinese teaching for foreigners, such as:uneven level of Chinese students; textbooks not suitable for the market; over-correct or over tolerance of students' errors in voice, difficulty in teaching Chinese characters, students'fear to speak Chinese due to personalities or poor Chinese, teacher-dominated, students-accepted and so on. These issues greatly affected the quality of class teaching. If we don't attach much attention to these issues, teaching spoken Chinese to foreigners will not get a satisfying result. Author suggests that teachers should pay attention to using a variety of techniques while doing the design of classroom instructions to avoid the above problems, such as well-designed introductions of the new curriculum, students-centered while making teaching objectives, teaching arrangements; input of pertinent cultural projects, focus on practicality, interests of teaching Chinese pronunciation; control of the quantity of vocabularies and methods of teaching vocabularies,teaching in best quality and practice much in grammar teaching, concern for good methods of teaching characters,etc. Finally, to explain classroom teaching design of Elementary Spoken Chinese more specifically and promote the development of teaching Chinese for beginners, author has taken the text "The Food here Is Delicious " as an example, which is the second lesson of the textbook-target Chinese 3 recommended by China national office for teaching Chinese.
