" Wantang Ti" was put forward in Nan Song Dynasty. Fang Hui was the first person who named some poems in the early Song Dynasty as "Wantang Ti". And he put Jiu Seng, Kou Zhun, Lin Bu, Wei Ye, Pan Lang, Zhao Xiang, etc, into this poetry style. He was sure that this poetry style was learnt from the poetry in the late Tang Dynasty. And his point was agreed by futurity. However the poetry style of "Wantang Ti" succeeded not only the style of the late Tang Dynasty, but also the style of the middle Tang Dynasty. They succeeded the "Kuyin"of Jia Dao, the "Wugong Ti"of Yao He, the style of "Da Li" and the style of Xu Hun. So this thesis would analyse "Wantang Ti" from four angles:the connections between"Wantang Ti" and"Kuyin", "Wantang Ti" and"Wugong", "Wantang Ti" and "Da Li",and between "Wantang Ti" and Xu Hun. These analyses could show the influence of the middle Tang Dynasty on"Wantang Ti".This article is divided into five parts. Chapterâ…¡summarizes the connections between "Wantang Ti" and"Kuyin". Chapterâ…¢analyses the connections between "Wantang Ti" and"Wugong" of Yao He. Chapterâ…£discusses the succession between "Wantang Ti" and the character of "Da Li". Chapterâ…¤analyses the connections between "Wantang Ti" and the distinguishing feature of Xu Hun.
