There are no proper citizenship and nationality in Britain juristical concepts in Britain before twentieth century. People held together under a identity umbrella made by British government, whoever would become king's subject and get blessing from king as long as he was loyal to the king, regardless where was he from, what kind of language he spoke and which religion he believed in. However, there were diversities on allegiance in kingdom, seigniories and colonies, even if between seigniories or colonies also had dissimilarities. People who had the same identity but shared different rights and obligations, that is to say that the identity was separate to rights and obligations, which must arose hidden troubles of solidarity and steadiness among people.England had met kinds of threats by the ending of nineteenth century, especially the seigniories had independence one by one, which made the Britain Empire at the danger of collapse. Government of England established British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act 1914, which was renewed in 1918, 1922 and 1943. These laws, however, did not change the identity of British subject radically, because they resulted from war and disaggregation Old Commonwealth, and nationality was fazed by principles of birth and lineage, which had continued for ending of the Second World War.British Nationality Act 1948 was the first experiment made by government of England to establish modern citizenship and nationality, which resulted in a bigger immigration tide and decision-makers had never consider it. Almost simultaneous non-colonization added fuel to the fire for the immigration, then the modern citizenship and nationality of England had to pass through a complex and rough way because of problem of immigration, identity and nationality. Although England has built up modern citizenship and nationality in 1980s, still more unsettled problems, which raise the devil with problem of immigration. Therefore, the immigration history of England is the history of identity evolvement. Every policy of immigration was the result of times, but the unchanged and determined principle is necessaries and advantages of England which change their contents and modalities with the developing of power and inside or outside conditions.
