Discussion On The Culture-loaded Words Translation Of World Expo From The Perspective Of Cross-culture

While serving as a platform to display the latest global scientific achievements and economic growth, World Expo offers a wonderful opportunity for Chinese culture to be shared with the rest of the world, we should introduce Chinese culture to the westerners by adopting translation methods in a proper way, and try to shorten cultural differences. The author tries to explore the approaches of translating the words with some Chinese cultural specifics, from the perspective of resolving and blending differences on ecology culture, language culture, religion culture, material culture and social culture, so that the world can have a better understanding of China, and China can be urged to advance smoothly towards the world.Ecology culture, from its narrow meaning, refers to the social ideology, spirit of human being and social institution directed by ecological value, from its broad meaning, it refers to the new life style of human being. Then how to bring reconciliation of ecology cultural difference between the Eastern and the Western? The author adopts the approach of "domesticating translation" which is put forward by L. Venuti, a famous scholar of America, to make the writer closer to the reader, Taking"低碳生态桃花源"as an example, which is a phrase full of Chinese characteristics, and also filled with the meaning of ecological philosophy, it has usually been translated as "Utopian Ecology of low carbon".Language culture, is just a language phenomenon created by people in which their common cultural beliefs are conveyed through a specific set of language symbol system. Language culture often possesses the characteristics of one's nation, tradition and universality and humanity. How to bridge cultural difference between the language of China and the western countries? the author continues to take the strategy of "domesticating translation", transform his angle, and make words with some Chinese cultural specifics be understood and accepted by the westerners.Religion, a special type of human culture, which is created by people's imagination, contains both people's striving for better living condition and hoping for an improvement on their moral standard. There exists great difference between eastern and western religions. In order to blend the religious cultural difference between the two parties, the author takes the method of transliteration via note-explanation and transformation.Material culture, just refers to a material process or product indicating people's life style, living situation and their emotion. As to deal with the material cultural difference, besides those methods mentioned above,the author also uses Amplification in the case.The great varieties in political systems, geographic surroundings, economic lives, outlooks and personal relationships between the orient and western societies lead to giant differences in social culture. Even in the same community, located in the same area, with the time changed there still exist cultural differences. In order to solve the social cultural difference, through the textual research of the social cultural background, and ambiguity of the word, the author suggests some new translation of name for some famous Chinese classical paintings.The author presents the perspective and approach of translating the words with some Chinese cultural specifics and tries to have an exploration within the trade.
