In order to explore relationship between adolescent self-esteem with academic achievement, this research studied the students in some time for indicators, analysis of the relationship among the stability of academic,self-efficacy and the self-esteem deeply. Though this study help students have more self confidence, and guide students evaluate themselves on the right and proper way. The study can provide the basis on targeted tutorship and activities. On the basis of reviewing previous studies, this study with "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale" and "self-efficacy questionnaire" standardized scale, random surveys the total of 747 middle school students form junior year and high school sophomore students two grades students. The study not only studied the grade differences and gender differences in the level of general self-esteem, the level of self-esteem in middle school students .This study but also explored the relationships between the self-efficacy and self-esteem on middle school students with stability academic performance. The results showed:1, From middle school into high school, the students self-esteem is a downward trend , but the level of self-efficacy score and learning ability, learning behavior of the two factors are increased.2, There are no significant difference between excellent academic achievement middle school students and poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of self-esteem. There are significantly different difference between excellent academic achievement middle school students and poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of self-efficacy and two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior .That means the middle school students who have excellent academic achievement were significantly higher than the poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of self-efficacy and two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior.3, There are significantly different difference between stability and excellent academic achievement middle school students and stability and poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of self-esteem and self-efficacy. That means the middle school students who have stability and excellent academic achievement were significantly higher than the stability and poor academic achievement students in the level of self-esteem and self-efficacy. There are significantly different difference between stability and excellent academic achievement middle school students and stability and poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior. That means the middle school students who have stability and excellent academic achievement were significantly higher than the stability and poor academic achievement middle school students in the level of two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior.4, There are significantly grade different difference among middle school students in the level of self-esteem,self-efficacy and two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior.That means the junior high school students were significantly higher than the high school students in self-esteem.Although the high school students were significantly higher than the junior high school students in the level of self-efficacy and two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior.5, There are significantly gender different difference among middle school students in the level of self-esteem. That means the middle school boys were significantly lower than the middle school girls in self-esteem. Although there are no significant gender difference among middle school students in the level of elf-efficacy and two factors of self-efficacy that learning ability and learning behavior.6, The academic achievement of middle school students was low correlated with self-esteem, but was significantly correlated with self-efficacy. The stability and academic achievement of middle students was significantly correlated with the level of self-esteem and self-efficacy.But the self-esteem of middle school students was low correlated with self-efficacy.7, The self-esteem and self-efficacy of middle school students was significantly correlated with stability total scores and Chinese scores,math scores and English scores, and stability total scores and Chinese scores,math scores and English scores have good prediction for self-esteem and self-efficacy.That means the middle school students who have higher stability total scores and Chinese scores,math scores and English scores who have higher level of self-esteem and self-efficacy.
