A Study On Wang Kai-yun's Thought Of His Studies Of Gongyang Scholar

The thought of learning appeared the currents of Han learning declining and the inosculating of Han learning and Song learning and the revival of the Up-to-date Classic Writing Study owing to the changing of Chinese traditional culture of learning and society after Opium War. Thus another learning treadency of"JingShiZhiYong"with the purpose of saving the nation from extinction and enriching the nation rose quickly and vigorously. Wang Kai-yun whose studies of the Chinese classics especially the Spring and the Autumn Annals played an important role in the changes of learning thought during the late Qing Dynasty was a famous scholar.He expatiated on a lot classical books.He studied in the Chinese classics mainly on the Spring and Autumn Annals and followed toward Gong-Yang School,advocated the opinion of"Notifying and Applying Ancient Classics",and he devoted all his life in the Chinese Classics interpretation and education,and both studies of Confucian classic and politics were his concerns of life.Therefore,we should remember Wang Kaiyun as a Confucian classics scholar,especially his role in Gong一Yang School.This paper mainly discusses the thought of Wang Kai-yun's studies in Gong—Yang school.The paper is composed of three parts:introduction, body and conclusion.The introduction involves mainly literature reviews on Wang Kaiyun'study and deseribes the significance of the title ,making a brief explanasion of the reason to choose Wang kaiyun .The body part analyzes fully and deeply Wang's Gong Yang thought and characteristics from the perspectives of the interpretation focusing on Wang'works—the Spring and Autumn Annals.Finally,making a comment on Wang kaiyun and his Gong yang thought.
