This paper defines Emotional intelligence as a kind of emotional state of self and others to aware, experience, and adjust the intelligence. The definition take "Emotional" as the core,based on the comparison and analysis of the existing research results.It is divided into three dimensions,they are object,content and operation.It explores a new emotional intelligence questionnaire through revising previous emotional intelligence questionnaires from the definition.In order to explore Chinese culture background factors of emotional intelligence in work place,the first thing is to release the encore questionnaire and the formal questionnaire to the workplace employees.The second one is to use exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to examine the encore questionnaire and the formal questionnaire. The Result is that there are five factors included in workplace employees'emotional intelligence structure.They are the awareness and expression of their own emotions, control their own bad mood, manage their own good mood,the awareness and experience the mood of others, adjust the mood of others.The above five dimensions of emotional intelligence can be further for the definition of the concept of emotional intelligence from three aspects.Object:oneself and others;Operation:awareness,expression, experience, adjust;Content: good mood and bad mood. Then we inspect the reliability and validity of the questionnaire based on the discussion of factors.The result shows that this questionnaire has good reliability and validity.We study the relationship between Emotional intelligence and work performance of workplace employees by using the Emotional intelligence questionnaire and Wang yanfei's Job performance questionnaire.We released 480 pieces, recycled valid questionnaires 385 pieces. Using structural equation methods to inspect relations research hypotheses. Conclusions are as follows:1,There are significant positive correlations among dimensions of emotional intelligence and job performance;2,There are different related degrees among dimensions of emotional intelligence and job performance;F3(controling one's own bad mood) is the most important factor to the job performance of workplace employees.Finally, this paper draws some enlightenments through combining organization and human management training practice on the basis of research results.Then it puts forward some feasibility of emotional intelligence training employees proposals. It emphasizes on the training of controlling one's own bad mood of emotional intelligence.
