The Regional Characteristics Of Beijing Folk Art And It's Application In Graphic Design

Beijing folk art is of high cultural, aesthetic value. It has both historical and modern characteristics. Its graphic pattern is the material carrier of traditional culture, and its technology and art symbols are important intangible culture. Graphic design is the combination of art and modem technology. It pays attention to the subject, object and the deep spiritual experience. It has three characteristics:the ideographic symbol, practical aesthetic use, emotional interaction. Reasonable use of elements of folk art in graphic design can show regional characteristics of graphic design, strengthen its effect, and deepen its emotional appeal, protrude its cultural value function.This paper adopts comprehensive literature description, social survey and design practice to research the regional feature of the Beijing folk art and its application in graphic design. First, the modeling rule, visual language, color tradition, symbol and aesthetic implication and creative thinking of folk art are systematically demonstrated in this paper. Combining the development process and characteristics of graphic design, this paper discusses the feasibility and necessity of using the folk art's modeling technique and design symbols in graphic design; Second, from the macro perspective, this paper researches the geographic environment structure, folk and cultural characteristics of Beijing folk art.; Furthermore, the folk-custom, popularity, elegance, the existing situation of Beijing folk art are studied;。Finally, from the modeling perspective, this paper researches the regional characteristics of Beijing folk art, and discusses its inclusiveness, stability, heredity and variation.Conclusions based on analysis are as follows:(1)The folk arts modeling can be divided into three kinds:the plane modeling, stereo modeling, comprehensive modeling; Symbolism and implication are the two important characteristics of the visual language of folk art.(2)"Five-color five-element theory" is the foundation and basis of traditional folk color theory, and is also the source of traditional folk color culture's symbol connotation.(3)Using folk design, color to express the thoughts of graphic design work, to enhance the theme of the graphic design work. (4)Graphic design work is the existence of emotional features with life. The application of the modeling skill and color element of Beijing folk art in graphic design can enhance the works' life emotion.(5)The regional characteristics of Beijing folk art can be used for reference in graphic design to highlight the life emotion and thoughts.(6)The change of lifestyle, and part of the folk customs' gradually disappearance lead to the necessity of innovation of Beijing folk art. When using the folk art's graph and color, we need to consider the time and fashion. We need to extract design genes and color element, inherit and develop the Beijing folk art from spirit connotation and cultural implications.
