The research aims to get fully information about Chinese language teaching of the National University of Mongolia, including the general education system, curriculum, teaching materials, teachers, students, teaching effectiveness and so on. To get the first-hand information and data through doing questionnaire surveys among teachers and students and having informal discussions with teachers. Getting accurate grasp of the actual situation, identifying problems and proposing constructive ideas after analysing the data is the duty of research. To provide accurate reference information for teachers and researchers of Chinese language education, aid to contribute to the further development of local Chinese language teaching.The paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is about the development of Chinese language teaching in Mongolia at present, the importance of Chinese language education of the National University in the local and current situations of Chinese language teaching in Mongolia and general overview of researching results in the world. The second chapter is about current teachering information of Chinese language department of the National University in details. Focus on classifying various issues and summarying the investigation results related to various teaching data, showing precise and scientific information for reference. And pointing out problems about current Chinese teaching. The third chapter aims to making suggestions of Chinese language teaching. To pick up recommendations and ideal courses design for teaching. To combine teaching Chinese as a second language with the theoretical research results and practical experience in China, presented more comprehensive system of course design for Chinese language teaching of the National University. The final section is conclusions of the paper and research limitations.It is importnt to find suitable and effective Chinese teaching mode along with the deepening of Chinese language teaching theory and continuous extensive practical experience. It is the common target for all Chinese language teaching and researching staff.
