From Inheritance To Innovation, From The Enlightenment To The Entertainment

On the basis of"Seventeen-years"minority films,The China's minority films of 1977-1989 present changed characteristics of"From inheritance to innovation,from the enlightenment to the entertainment". It is vital to inherit the past and usher in the future. This paper,based on semiotics to explore the content and form of minority films, can be seen text-reading and culture-revealing with minority films. We can reveal character and rules from the narrative and ideographic characteristics of these minority films.This article is divided into six sections. The Introduction mainly judge the object and genesis,inspect the present situation of research of these films,point out the research conditions, research methods focal point and difficult point. In the first part of the article,we mainly discuss the foundation of he scope of study. The second part of the article,with the title of"Analyse the types of minority films of 1977-1989",we make a classification to these films according to content. The third part of of the article , with the title of"The symbolization image and semiotic significance of Films",we make a classification to these films according to symbol types and point out their semiotic significance,symbolized image is a system of power discourse,power discourse synthesizes national culture and ideology. The fouth part of of the article,with the title of"The Cultural Meaning of Minority Films",we discuss symbols function how to reappear meanings and convey one's ideas ,aesthetic characteristics,the variation from enlighten modernity to aesthetic modernity,successes and deficiencies of these films. The part of Conclusion mainly discuss the possibility of studying and the significances of studying.In a word,by using Semiotics ,we not only outlines these films'development and overall characteristics,but also can reveal the relation about the film symbol, ideology contents,cultural meanings and the way that meaning how to produce much relationship and implications about such Symbols and Expression are found in these films.
