Iptv In College Foreign Language Teaching Application

The 21st century is the era of knowledge and information , and countries in political, economic, and cultural exchanges become more frequent, market demand for foreign language professionals doubled, prompting countries increased foreign language education reform efforts. In order to adapt to market changes, China also carried out the reform of foreign language teaching, from primary school, secondary school to university, from the textbooks, the media into the teaching methods, the reformation involves all aspects of teaching and can be described as extensive, the degree of depth. Aim is to develop a single examination prior to talent-based foreign language teaching changed in order to cultivate diverse talents applied mainly foreign language teaching. University of Foreign Language Teaching Higher Education Steering Committee of Ministry of Education in 2006 reforms in the University of Foreign Languages:"use of modern information technology to improve the new teaching model". To better the completion of the task of reforming the foreign language teaching method is to use of modern information technology, the appropriate use of existing instructional media to achieve the purpose of reform.IPTV is with the communications technology and network technology generated by the development of a new type of media, this media in China's "triple play" trend accelerated development under the present situation. IPTV with its interactive, rich content and ease of access to information is in favor of everyone; and its applications is very broad, medical, defense, education, etc. are all IPTV to play a role in the stage. A time when the reform of foreign language teaching in Chinese Universities, network television and the universities with foreign language teaching will give the reform of foreign language teaching in China to bring greater vitality.In this paper, from IPTV in the role of colleges starting foreign language teaching, using case studies and questionnaire survey method to analyze the current network TV in college foreign language teaching situation, problems, and finally gives problem-solving strategies. The purpose of this paper through investigation and research for other colleges and universities provide a reference application IPTV teaching. Finally, the research results in this paper, as well as lack of foreign language teaching in colleges and universities IPTV application prospects.
