Objective:To investigate the feasibility of high-frequency ultrasound combined with mammography in diagnosis of small breast carcinoma.Method: Choose 65 patients who suffer from breast carcinoma and diagnosed in Xinjiang Medical University affiliated cancer institute between 2007~2009,Total 74 lesions averaged diameter of lesions are≤1cm in ultrasound image, all patients must have undertaken ultrasound and mammographic exam, all lesions have been resected and be comfirmed to be carcinoma by histopathology. Result:The diagnostic sensitivity of high frequency ultrasound and mammography were54% and 55.4 % respectively. There was no significant difference between them. The sensitivity of combining two methods was significantly higher than that of only one , the sensitivity could reach 78.38 % . Conclusion:Combined two methods can increase the diagnostic sensitivity of early breast cancer; and has the significant feasibility of clinical application.
