The Expression And Relation Of The Sulfate Transporter (DTD) In Carcinoma Of Large Intestine

AIM : It explored the connection between DTD ( sulphate transporter, DTD) and the genesis and development of colorectal cancer .After that it tried to find out the contribution and clinical significance of DTD in colorectal cancer.METHODS:The expression of DTD were detected by RT-PCR in 36 cases(males: 22,females: 14, mean age: 52).It used gene DRA(Down Regulated in Adenoma) to be a compare index detected in the same cases. After that It compared these data to find out the association between them.Use SP immunohistochemistry to check the result.RESULT: The expression of DTD were more significantly down regulated in tumor tissue than in normal tissue.(P<0.05). The well-differentiated tissue express DTD more than the poorly differentiatedn tissue.In the stages of Dukes , the expression of DTD in the stage of A/B is more than in the stage of C/D in the tumor tissue(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: It concluded that there was some association between DTD and colorectal cancer .It is possible that DTD play an important role in the beginning and developing in the carcinoma of large intestine.
