OBJECTIVE1. Test the serum sVCAM-1 level of SSHL patients.2. Compare the sVCAM-1 levels of SSHL patients with different conditions.3. Approab the possible pathogenesy that sVCAM-1 caused in SSHL.METHODSThe serum level of both SSHL group and contrast group(healthy people)were tested by ELISA.Accroding to sex, age, degree of hearing loss, smoking, drinking, habits, history of upper respiratory infection and cardio- cerebrovascular complications, the SSHL group was dividede into different groups.SPSS17.0 software was used to compate the data,t-test and one–way ANOVA methods were used to compare sample.RESULTS1. The serum sVCAM-1 level was higher in SSHL group compared with contrast group(p<0.0001).2. The serum sVCAM-1 level was higher in the elderly group than younger group (p<0.05).3. The serum sVCAM-1 level was higher in group with the upper respiratory infection than those who without infection(p<0.05).4.The serum sVCAM-1 level was higher in group with cardio-cerebrovascular complication than those who without (p<0.05).5. The serum sVCAM-1 level was no significant difference in groups with different sex, degree of hearing loss, habit, smoking history or drinking history(p>0.05). CONCLUSION1. sVCAM-1 may participate in the devolopment of SSHL.2. The serum sVCAM-1 level were affected by age, upper respiratory infection history and cardio-cerebrovascular complication.3. Sex,degree of hearing loss, smoking, drinking, habit had no significant effect on sVCAM-1 level.
