Objective: To evaluate the correlation of serum bilirubin and prematurecoronary artery disease in the Races of the Uygur and the Hans in Xinjiang China. Methods : In 766 patients, according to coronary angiography are grouped into two groups:372 subjects with PCAD and controls with non-CAD(including Uygur 112 patients with PCAD and 136 healthy;Hans 260 patients with PCAD and 258 healthy). The extent and severity of angiographic CAD were diagnosed by:⑴whether or not with CAD diagnosisangiography;⑵the number of diseased vessels;⑶The CAD Gensini culmulative index. Results: The serum bilirubin has significant correlation with the extent and severity of angiographic coronary artery disease:⑴The two sample test for independents samples show that Hans the level of TBIL,IBIL in PCAD patients are statistically significant lower than those in the controls(P<0.05).So TBIL and DBIL in Uygur(P<0.01).In PCAD the level of TBIL,DBIL in Uygur are statistically significant lower than those in Hans(P<0.05).⑵In Uygur, the level of TBIL in multi-lesion group are statistically significant lower than those in single-vessel group; The level of DBIL in multi-lesion and two-lesion groups are statistically significant lower than those in single-vessel group. In Hans, The level of TBIL,DBIL,IBIL in multi-lesion and two-lesion groups are statistically significant lower than those in single-vessel group.⑶Multiple stepwise regression analysis show that in Uygur LNCSS has correlation with DBIL GENDER,LP(α) and TG.In Hans with IBIL,LDL-C,HDL-C and Hypertension. TBIL and DBIL in the Uygur Patients of the occlusion lesion were lower than the light and mesteosis (P<0.05). TBIL and IBIL in the Uygur Patients of the occlusion lesion were lower than the light and mesteosis (P<0.05).④Spearman correlation reveal hat in Uygur and Hans serum bilirubin has negative correlation with TG,TC,LDL-C and LP(α) but positive correlation with HLD-C.Conclusion:①The lower level of serum bilirubin may be a new risk factor of coronary artery disease in young;②In Uygur, the level of serum bilirubin statistically significant lower than those in Hans(P<0.05); The lesions of Uygur's coronary heart disease patients are more severe than Han's and more multi-branch lesion;③In Han's , IBIL has negative correlation with severity of coronary artery disease but DBIL in Uygur;④Serum bilirubin affects the metabolism of serum lipids.
