Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To study the clinical effect of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine (ITCWM) on Lupus Nephritis, providing a basis for clinic to set up a safer, more effective treatment of ITCWM.Methods:According to the diagnostic criteria of Lupus Nephritis, inclusion criteria and exclusion,33 eligible patients were enrolled from WuHan Integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital. We collected the patients' symptom-sign of TCM, in the light of the traditional Chinese medicine clinical study of new drug treatment of SLE guiding principles, we ensured the symptom-sign of TCM of everyone. All the patients were treated with Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine (Steroid+Cyclophosphamide (CTX)+dialectic TCD), with a total course of treatment for eight months. Observed the clinical symptoms and signs, relevant laboratory indicators (ANA, anti ds-DNA, C3, C4, CH50, WBC, HGB, PLT, ALT, AST, ALB, BUN, Cr, ESR, proteinuria of 24h, etc.) before and after treatment, and filled in the form of clinical observation. The dosage of Steroid and CTX, occurrence ratios of side effete in the course of treatment were added up.Results:1. Treated for eight months, the total effective rate was 87.9%.2. The total effective rates of the four different sydromes were high, the difference had no statistical significant (p>0.05).3. The total effective rate of female lupus nephritis (93.3%) was significantly higher than male lupus nephritis'(33.3%), the difference had statistical significant (p<0.05).4. The effective rate of younger patients (90.5%) was higher than the olders'(83.3%), the difference had no statistical significant (p>0.05).5. The effective rate of the primary patients (96.0%) was higher than the relapsed patients'(62.5%), the difference had statistical significant (p<0.05).6. After treatment, the LN activity index and clinic symptoms integral were decreased, the difference had statistical significant (p<0.01).7. By treated, the 24h upro was decreased, and the ALB and C3 were increased, the difference had statistical significant (p<0.01), the Scr was lowered, but the difference had no statistical significant (p>0.05).8. The average days of using steroid were (78.43±50.62) days, CTX total dosage was (2.80±1.87) gram when there was effection.9. The occurrence ratios of obesity and infection were higher, the other side effects were occurred seldom, and all the cases were improved by the treated with ITCWM. Conclusion:Treating Lupus Nephritis with the method of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine has a better clinical efficacy. ITCWM can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients, decrease the LN activity index and clinic symptoms integral, and reduce the 24h upro, increase the ALB and C3, and the the occurrence rata of side effects is lower. So, the treatment of ITCWM is a safer, more effective therapy...
