Clinical Study Of Therapy For High Fistula By Seton

The canal of high anal fistula lies through or above the deep headquarter of external sphincter, which brings much difficulties for the therapy. How to decline the rate of recurrence and restore the anal function are always two prominent problems of therapy for high fistula. To seek for an ideal and effective new surgical method becomes an important task. So the study is specially selected to meet the need of high curative rate and well anal function restored. The patients are divided into therapy group and control group, and the therapy group with seton method, the control group with thread drawing. Then compare with curative rate, rate of recurrence, treatment course, complications, sequelae function and the area of the scar. The results show:two groups have no statistic differences in general curative effect,healing time,postoperative anal discomfort,postoperative emiction,postoperative secretion,postoperative pain and the area (P>0.05). There is obvious statistic significance in the anal function between the two groups (P<0.05).The study indicates that the therapy group is much superior to the control group in function protection with fewer complications and sequelae. It also indicates the surgical method is an effective resolution with advantages of better protection of anal function, low rate of recurrence and fewer sequelae.
